Who is Marvin?
Marvin is the spirit of the place: a retired veteran and lifelong hippie who’s been around cannabis longer than most of us have been around, period. He’s the friend you can’t stop talking to.
He’ll talk terpenes all afternoon, but he never lectures and he never gatekeeps. Nervous first-timer or seasoned connoisseur, you get the same Marvin. That’s the energy our whole team brings to the counter.

Before you visit
Do I need a medical card to shop at Marvin's Garden?
No. Marvin's Garden is an adult-use (recreational) dispensary, so any adult 21 or older with a valid government-issued photo ID can shop. No medical card is required.
What ID do I need, and how old do I have to be?
You must be 21 or older and show a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, state ID card, or passport. Staff check ID to confirm age before every sale, as New Jersey law requires.
How much cannabis can I buy at one time?
New Jersey limits a single transaction to one ounce (28.35 grams) of usable cannabis or its equivalent. That equivalent is up to 4 grams of solid concentrate or 4 mL of oil, or edibles totaling no more than 1,000 mg of THC. These limits are set by the NJ CRC under N.J.A.C. 17:30 and can change, so check the CRC website for current rules.
Is the Veterans Museum free?
Yes. The Veterans Museum is free for every visitor to Marvin's Garden.
